The course takes place in a blended format to offer the learner the most profitable educational experience, first in an asynchronous virtual classroom to approach the concepts of prosectorial anatomy, and then in a physical classroom organized by PhisioVit for anatomical dissection and direct palpation of landmarks and structures. The event has limited seating and can host a maximum of forty participants. The teaching is offered in the following ways:
STEP 1: It starts with an introductory asynchronous FAD on Un Approccio Funzionale e Clinico alla Neuroanatomia 1 that includes handouts and video lessons. This initial training is useful to familiarize the student with Prof. Dott. Ferdinando Paternostro and is essential to introduce them to the topic; it remains available within their control panel in the didactic platform and is accessible from any device. It can be started, resumed, and interrupted as often as desired, but must be completed before STEP 2, which is described below.
STEP 2: It ends with a day in person for the study of the plans and anatomical structures of the ATM and Cranial Nerves on Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with seven and a half hours of actual classroom training, excluding lunch breaks and coffee breaks.
Program
The entire blended event, titled ATM and Cranial Nerves: Anatomical Dissection, and with a day in person on Sunday, November 15, 2026, is held by Prof. Dott. Ferdinando Paternostro, medical-surgeon, Associate Professor of Human Anatomy, Managing Editor of the Italian Journal of Anatomy and Embryology. Previously a researcher and Associate Professor of Human Anatomy in the Degree Courses in Medicine and Surgery, Physiotherapy, Biotechnology, Nursing, and TSRM. In particular, the program of the day in person is indicated below. The teaching staff is complemented by tutoring assistance for the students in the sectors’ tables by the staff of Prof. Dott. Ferdinando Paternostro of the University of Florence, in the number of one for every ten students from the eleventh participant.
Each practical session will be preceded by brief theoretical sessions that provide an introduction to the practical exercise.
